Does it work?
I think it does
This newsletter is for writers, creative people, or anyone who is their own source of income.
If you’re not one of those, you’ll probably be confused because I’ll be hitting on some deep concepts that relate to success, entrepreneurship, and philosophy.
I took a 3-week break from my newsletter because I thought I was overworking myself…
But then I realized. My life has literally not improved in any possible way.
I don’t feel enlightened.
I’m not “Happy”
My creativity hasn’t improved.
If you're working on your Twitter side hustle… or working your 9-5… or maybe you’re attempting to do both at the same time.
Or maybe you're a college student who is just trying to find his place in all of this.
Understand this:
Humans are not logical.
Remember that time you ate Mcdonald’s and said, “ahh fuck it 2 cheeseburgers never killed nobody”
And 3 hours later you have 0 energy and feel like a rotten potato.
Maybe I’m wrong.
But if you find yourself running the human hamster wheel to see any sort of progress…
Something needs to change.
And from my experience, creativity is a result of INTENSE outside constraints using a set of frameworks.
Ever since I started using systems, I’ve noticed that:
Specific knowledge accumulates faster when focusing on 1 project at a time
You’re able to go through multiple iterations faster as a result of 1 singular focus (by the 3rd iteration your final product will be light years ahead than the 1st)
By far the hardest part of all of this is creating these detailed frameworks.
One must be willing to Fail. Iterate. Test. Fail. Iterate Test. Fail. Iterate. Test.
But here’s why I think most people don’t actually reach their goals—
In the moments when you FEEL like giving up.
You FEEL like you need a day off.
You FEEL like you’ve done enough.
Emotion prevents you from pushing through. Just like it told me to all of the sudden stop writing my newsletter.
It’s important to remember…
"Fight weak emotions with the power of logic; fight the weakness of logic with the power of emotion” — Jocko Willinick
A good system takes time to develop.
Create your systems, and you will find your success.
